By now, every 3rd grade GT student should have taken home his or her project planner for family discussion, consideration, and signature. This marks the beginning of due dates and deadlines for our 3rd Grade Scientist Fair.
I have created a sample Web site as a student reference or template. You can look at that site to better understand the following assignments. Information from Steps #1-4 will be featured on Career Fair display boards to be exhibited at school on Career Day, April 24th.
Each due date reflects an in-class allotment of 2 hours work time plus a week at home. Honestly, 2 hours in class should be sufficient, barring absences, distractions, and interruptions.
Many students are already ahead of schedule, and that is ideal. Students who finish early will be tasked to create Web sites and begin assembling their display boards. Any and all of this work can start now! Here are the due dates:
February 18-20: Project Planners due with signatures
