On April 24th, our career projects will be displayed as a Career Fair for classes to visit on Career Day. While the deadlines between now and then are flexible, the final project due date is not; all projects are due by 8:00 am on April 24th for inclusion in the Career Fair.
I ordered two display boards for each student and am sending one of them home this week for independent work over the next three weeks; the other board will be sent home the last week of April. Please check your email for payment details.
Spring break is next week, followed by two weeks of testing. Student will have just a couple more in-class opportunities to work on projects before they are due. At this point, three after-school work dates are available: 3/20, 3/31, and 4/3. If I deem additional after-school opportunities necessary, I will let you know.
Above is an example of how displays should be laid out. We covered this in class this week, but I want everyone to have an accessible reference. Decoration, font, colors, etc. are left to each student's creativity, but the content and placement should be consistent among students. I will provide the blank worksheets pictured to any student who would prefer to display handwritten information or to anyone without technology necessary to print their own. (We will be printing in class, but there are other options, too.)
Regarding Step 3, some students are having difficulty finding jobs through the links provided by Science Buddies. If this is the case, students are welcome to look for other real job postings using Indeed. The link is in Student Links, as well.
Please don't hesitate to contact me to sign up for after-school opportunities or with any other questions you may have!
