I knew from the time I was a young child that I would grow up and become a teacher. I truly feel it is what I was called to do. Teaching at Don Roberts Elementary has been a blessing that has given me opportunities to become the best teacher I can. When Roberts opened its doors in June of 2010, I transferred here as a fifth grade teacher. When the opportunity to become a GT teacher was given to me, I was excited about the chance to work toward my master's degree and challenge students in a whole new arena.
I am originally from Minnesota, but left there in 1992 for the warmer climate of Phoenix, Arizona. My family and I moved to Little Rock in 1995. My family consists of my husband Eugene, two teenage boys (Corbin, 16 and Noah, 14), and one adult son (Jeremiah). Jeremiah is married to my lovely daughter-in-law, Mary, and they have two beautiful children; Emily (5) and Daniel (1). We also have many four-legged furry friends that share our space!
Hobbies I enjoy are spending time with my family, reading good historical or realistic fiction books, working out, and traveling.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year! Please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or by phone at 501-447-8370.
